I'm saddened by the loss of my fishin' buddy. That is, my fishin' buddy when we were rascally little boys. Not sure how our parents met, but I remember Rodney (Pud') waking me up on a Saturday morning and the pair of us scampering off to Ward's canal. We'd spend the day catching bullhead and carp, and return home muddy and smelly, exhausted and happy. "Norman Rockwell-ian" memories. Our divergent interests drew us apart in high school, except that his dad (Mr Barnes, History) was the sponsor of the Youth for Christ club that was such a big part of my Clay High experience. Looks like you lived a rich and full life, old friend. I'm grateful for our time together. See you soon and we can catch up.
